Long time off.
Been all over the place mentally, effected my trading (or maybe my trading effected my mental health) who knows/cares?!
Felt out of control learning so many different methods. Reverting to an older mechanical method as I try to create a new one with all that I've learnt in past 8 months.
Chose the EJ as was trending better this AM
8SMA(orange)/21EMA(grey) = direction

DeleteGeorge, It is not uncommon to go from one trading system to another searching for what works....After you spend enough time trading you will soon realize they work or they don't. You will drive yourself nuts finding a system, changing stop points, analyzing, back-testing, etc. The Holy Grail doesn't exist.
ReplyDeleteMy suggestion is this...take a step back, learn technical analysis / price action trading. Then find a market and pair, and only trade that. Become an expert in the market you chose, and the pair you chose. You find that it becomes much easier. Forget all indicators, they are lagging, and only show what has happened, not what is going to happen. By the time you get the signal you should have already been in the trade.
I am only trying to help, and save you a few years of frustration...yes a few years, it will take that long before you realize it. What you are going through is common when someone starts out trading.
